The story behind Midsummer Sky

The story behind Midsummer Sky

This collection was born in a moment when my whole world quietly shifted.

I had just been diagnosed with Graves’ disease, and life changed almost overnight. Everything paused. I couldn’t work, couldn’t train, barely had an appetite, and my heart was racing at 140 beats per minute even when I was completely at rest. I have never experienced that kind of exhaustion before. It felt as if my body was slowly giving up on me.

And so there I was, on the sofa, absolutely exhausted, when the idea of a summer collection found its way to me.

I needed something soft. Something beautiful. Something I could create slowly, in my own time, within the limits my body allowed. It began as a simple thought: to design pieces that felt comfortable yet feminine, easy to style, airy, summery, bohemian, and romantic. Effortless, but special. Timeless, yet full of feeling.

I already had a few designs in mind. I began visualizing every detail, the fabrics I would carefully select, the movement of each shape, how the material would fall against the skin. Whenever I design something in my mind, I also walk through the entire construction process, how each seam will come together, how it will be sewn, how it will live and breathe on a body. These quiet design moments became my small escapes while my own body slowly began to recover.

Each day, I took seven or eight pills, longing to feel like myself again. And little by little, my strength slowly returned. I started being my studio, first just for an hour at a time, until my body or mind had reached its limit. But that one hour felt magical. It reminded me who I am. It reminded me how deeply I love to create.

Piece by piece, Midsummer Sky came to life.

This collection became more than clothing. It became part of my healing journey. Every garment carries a memory of resilience, of patience, of choosing softness even in difficult seasons. It reminds me never to take life or health for granted again.

Tomorrow is never promised. So we wear the beautiful dress. We create the dream. We cherish the ordinary magic of today.

That is my motto in life.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being here and supporting my made-to-order world. It truly means everything to me. 🤍
